Gospel Snapshots Where Faith Unlocks Healing

Matthew 8:5-13 – The Roman centurion trusted Christ’s authority. “Go! Let it be done for you as you have believed.” His servant was healed “at that very hour.”

Mark 2:1-12 – Friends lowered a paralytic through a roof. “When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’ … ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and go home.’” The man walked out.

Mark 5:25-34 – Another account of the woman with the hemorrhage; Jesus repeats, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.”

Mark 5:35-43 – Jairus heard, “Do not fear; only believe.” His twelve-year-old daughter rose from death.

Matthew 15:21-28 – A Canaanite mother persisted. “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you desire.” Her daughter was freed from a demon.

Mark 10:46-52 – Blind Bartimaeus cried out. “Go, your faith has healed you.” Sight came immediately.

Luke 17:11-19 – Ten lepers obeyed Jesus’ directive; all were cleansed. The grateful Samaritan heard, “Your faith has made you well.”

John 4:46-54 – A royal official believed Jesus’ word; his feverish son recovered “at the very hour” Jesus spoke.


Acts—The Pattern Continues after the Resurrection

Acts 3:1-16 – Peter pointed to faith in Jesus’ name: “By faith in His name, this man… was made strong.” The formerly lame beggar leapt.

Acts 9:32-35 – Peter told paralyzed Aeneas, “Jesus Christ heals you.” Immediate recovery led many to turn to the Lord.

Acts 14:8-10 – In Lystra Paul “saw that he had faith to be healed” and commanded him to stand. The man sprang up and walked.


Old-Testament Foundations of Faith-Powered Miracles

2 Kings 5:1-14 – Naaman dipped seven times in the Jordan in simple trust; “his flesh was restored like that of a little child.”

1 Kings 17:8-24 – A widow believed Elijah during famine; her flour and oil never ran out, and later her dead son revived.

Exodus 14:13-31 – Israel stepped between walls of water “by faith” (Hebrews 11:29); the sea then swallowed Egypt’s army.

Joshua 6:1-20 – Israel marched in silence six days, then shouted in faith; Jericho’s walls fell flat.

Daniel 3:16-28 – Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego trusted God’s deliverance; the flames left them unharmed.

Daniel 6:16-23 – Daniel’s faith shut the lions’ mouths.
