How to guide others to God's love?
In what ways can you encourage others to find refuge in God's love?

Psalm 36:7—Our Guiding Verse

“How precious is Your loving devotion, O God, that the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.”

The Precious Shelter of Divine Love

• God’s love is not abstract; it is a literal, protective covering—“the shadow of Your wings.”

• Just as a hen gathers her chicks, He gathers His people (Matthew 23:37).

• The image is repeated throughout Scripture: “He will cover you with His feathers; under His wings you will find refuge” (Psalm 91:4).

• Because Scripture is accurate and true, the promise stands firm for every generation.

Helping Others See the Safety of His Wings

• Paint the biblical picture: describe God’s wings as both strong and tender, inviting trust.

• Highlight His faithfulness: “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble” (Nahum 1:7).

• Contrast human frailty with divine strength—people fail, but His covenant love never does (Lamentations 3:22-23).

• Use personal testimony: share specific moments when God’s love shielded you, making the abstract concrete.

Anchoring Encouragement in Scripture

Psalm 46:1—“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.”

Proverbs 18:10—“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”

Isaiah 26:3—He keeps in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him.

Romans 8:38-39—nothing can separate believers from His love.

John 10:27-29—no one can snatch His sheep from His hand.

• We strengthen faith by opening the Bible often, reading aloud, and inviting others to hear the promises for themselves.

Displaying Refuge Through Personal Example

• Live calmly amid turbulence; your peace becomes a living proof of His shelter.

• Speak words saturated with Scripture, not fear.

• Choose forgiveness over resentment; it shows you rest in God’s justice.

• Prioritize corporate worship; it models running to God, not away from Him.

• Celebrate answered prayer publicly, giving God credit for protection and provision.

Practical Ways to Point Hearts to His Love

1. Share a verse a day—text, email, or handwritten note.

2. Offer to pray on the spot when someone voices a need; let them experience God’s nearness.

3. Provide tangible help (meals, rides, childcare) as an echo of God’s care.

4. Invite friends to study refuge passages together—Psalm 36, 91, 121, John 10.

5. Keep worship music playing in your home or car; lyrics reinforce truth.

6. Memorize key promises with children; early seeds bear lifelong fruit.

7. When fear arises, gently redirect conversation from “what if” to “God is.”

A Closing Word of Confidence

Because God’s loving devotion is precious and unchanging, every believer can find true refuge under His wings—and we can confidently lead others there, armed with His eternal Word and our own grateful testimony.
