How to stop seeking astrologers' advice?
How can we avoid relying on "astrologers" and "stargazers" for guidance today?

Setting the Scene: Isaiah’s Warning

Isaiah 47:13: “You are wearied by your many counselors; let them stand ready and save you—those who divide the heavens, who observe the stars, who make predictions month by month.”

Babylon trusted its astrologers; God exposed their powerlessness. The same warning alerts us today.

Recognize the Futility of Astrology

Deuteronomy 18:10–12 condemns divination as “detestable.”

Jeremiah 10:2: “Do not learn the way of the nations… the signs of the heavens… are futile.”

Acts 19:18–19 shows new believers burning occult material—proof that such practices have no place among God’s people.

Anchor Guidance in God’s Word

Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

2 Timothy 3:16–17: Scripture equips “for every good work,” leaving no need for star charts.

Hebrews 4:12: The Word discerns “thoughts and intentions,” a role astrology falsely claims.

Seek the Author, Not the Creation

Colossians 1:16–17: All things—including stars—were made by Christ and “in Him all things hold together.”

Romans 1:25 warns against exchanging “the truth of God for a lie, and worshiping created things rather than the Creator.”

Cultivate Discernment through the Holy Spirit

John 16:13: The Spirit “will guide you into all truth.”

1 John 2:27 encourages relying on the anointing that teaches truth, not on cosmic forecasts.

Galatians 5:16 urges walking by the Spirit, which leaves no room for occult counsel.

Surround Yourself with Godly Counsel

Proverbs 11:14: “Victory is won through many advisers” who fear the Lord, not the zodiac.

Ephesians 4:11–16 points to pastors and teachers who equip believers toward maturity, guarding against deceptive voices.

Practical Steps to Replace Horoscope Habits

• Remove apps, emails, books, and social feeds that deliver zodiac content.

• Replace the time spent on daily horoscopes with a Bible-reading plan (e.g., one Psalm and one Gospel chapter each morning).

• Memorize verses that affirm God’s guidance (Proverbs 3:5–6; James 1:5).

• Share accountability with a mature believer—text one another a verse instead of a horoscope link.

• Listen to Christ-centered podcasts or worship music during moments previously devoted to star forecasts.

Resting in God’s Sovereign Care

Psalm 32:8: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you.”

Matthew 6:33 assures that seeking God’s kingdom first leads to every needed provision.

Romans 8:14: “All who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.” The Lord’s family never needs to consult the stars—they know the One who made them.
