How to strengthen faith in better covenant?
What practical steps can strengthen our faith in the "better covenant"?

Setting the Foundation: Jesus—Guarantor of the Better Covenant

“Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.” (Hebrews 7:22)

Why it’s better

• Permanent priesthood: “Jesus lives forever.” (Hebrews 7:24)

• Complete salvation: “He is able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him.” (Hebrews 7:25)

• Internal transformation: “I will put My laws in their minds and inscribe them on their hearts.” (Hebrews 8:10; Jeremiah 31:33)

Practical Ways to Strengthen Confidence in the Better Covenant

• Fix your eyes on the Living High Priest

– Read Hebrews 7:24–25 aloud; thank Him for ongoing intercession.

– Visualize Jesus at the Father’s right hand, representing you right now.

• Soak in covenant promises daily

– Set aside unhurried time to read passages such as Hebrews 8–10, Romans 8, and 2 Corinthians 3:6.

– Write one promise on a card or phone note; review it through the day.

• Practice confessed assurance

– When sin surfaces, claim Hebrews 10:22: “our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience.”

– Replace lingering guilt with Romans 8:1: “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

• Celebrate the covenant at the Lord’s Table

– Approach communion as a reminder that the covenant is sealed in His blood (Luke 22:20).

– Before taking the elements, quietly affirm, “This is for me—paid in full.”

• Pray in line with His intercession

– Align requests with God’s revealed will (1 John 5:14); thank Jesus for presenting them perfectly.

– Keep a journal of answered prayers to trace His faithful advocacy.

• Stay in covenant community

– Meet consistently with believers who will echo Hebrews 10:23–25, urging one another to “hold resolutely to the hope we profess.”

– Share testimonies of how the Lord is proving the covenant reliable.

• Persevere through testing

– Memorize James 1:2–4; trials mature faith anchored in the better covenant.

– During hardship, rehearse Hebrews 13:5: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Stepping Forward

Each deliberate choice—gazing at Jesus, ingesting His promises, confessing with assurance, worshiping at His table, praying confidently, gathering with believers, and enduring trials—tightens our grip on the covenant He guarantees. Walk these steps and watch faith deepen, hope brighten, and worship overflow.
