Live daily as God's chosen one.
How can you embody being chosen by God in your daily life?

Chosen Like Zerubbabel: The Signet Ring Message

Haggai 2:23

“On that day, declares the LORD of Hosts, I will take you, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, My servant, declares the LORD, and I will make you like My signet ring, for I have chosen you, declares the LORD of Hosts.”

What a Signet Ring Meant in Scripture

• Symbol of royal authority—sealed decrees carried the king’s power (Esther 8:8).

• Mark of ownership—what bore the seal belonged to the king (Jeremiah 22:24).

• Pledge of protection—the seal safeguarded what it marked (Daniel 6:17).

Living as God’s “signet ring” means carrying His authority, belonging, and protection wherever you go.

Daily Ways to Wear the Seal

Identity:

• Begin each day affirming, “I am chosen in Christ” (1 Peter 2:9).

• Reject labels the world tries to stamp on you; receive God’s seal instead (2 Corinthians 1:22).

Holiness:

• Let choices, conversations, and entertainment bear His imprint (1 Peter 1:15-16).

• When tempted, remember a royal seal isn’t for common use—walk away.

Representation:

• Speak with grace and truth; your words are “sealed” with His authority (Colossians 4:6).

• Serve at work or school “as unto the Lord” so others glimpse the King you represent (Colossians 3:23-24).

Stewardship:

• Treat time, money, and talents as resources entrusted to a royal envoy (Matthew 25:14-30).

• Practice generosity that reflects the King’s heart (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).

Courage & Hope:

• Face uncertainty knowing the King protects what bears His seal (Psalm 121:7-8).

• Share the gospel boldly; a signet ring isn’t hidden in a pocket (Romans 1:16).
