1 Corinthians 15:28 – The Anchor Verse

“When all things have been subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will be made subject to Him who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all.”


The Son’s Glad Submission to the Father

John 5:19 – “Truly, truly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself; He can do only what He sees the Father doing.”

Philippians 2:9-11 – “God exalted Him to the highest place… that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Ephesians 1:22 – “God put all things in subjection under His feet and made Him head over all things for the church.”

God’s Absolute Rule over Creation

Christ’s Universal Authority

Matthew 28:18 – “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”

Order within the Church

Hebrews 13:17 – “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls.”

Order within the Home

Ephesians 5:22-24, 25 – “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord… Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church.”

1 Peter 3:1-7 – Mutual honor under God’s design.


Order within Civil Government

Romans 13:1-2 – “Every person must be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God… whoever resists the authority is opposing God’s ordinance.”

1 Peter 2:13-15 – “Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution.”

Daniel 2:20-21 – “He changes times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes them.”


The Future Consummation of Divine Order

Revelation 19:16 – “He has a name written: King of kings and Lord of lords.”

Revelation 21:3-4 – The final state where God dwells with His people, every hierarchy fulfilled in His presence.


Living under God’s Order Today

• Recognize all authority as delegated by God.

• Honor Christ as supreme while respecting every level of authority He appoints.

• Imitate the Son’s willing submission, trusting the Father’s perfect plan.

• Look forward to the day when “God may be all in all,” and order gives way to unhindered fellowship.
