Rely on Christ's power in challenges?
How can you rely on Christ's sustaining power in your current challenges?

The Heart of Colossians 1:17

“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

Christ’s Sustaining Work Explained

• “He is before all things” — Christ existed eternally, so there has never been a moment when He was not fully capable of upholding you.

• “In Him all things hold together” — your body, your circumstances, your relationships, even the molecules in the air are intact because He actively keeps them intact (cf. Hebrews 1:3).

• Because He literally holds the cosmos together, your life is never slipping beyond His grip.

What This Means For Your Current Challenges

• Your problem is never bigger than the One who predates the universe.

• He’s not merely a distant observer; He’s the current, sustaining power circulating through every detail you face.

• When you feel unraveling, remember that “in Him all things hold together” includes your emotions, finances, family, and future.

Anchoring Your Mind in the Word

John 1:3 — “Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made.” He made it, so He can maintain it.

Matthew 28:20 — “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” His sustaining presence is continual.

2 Corinthians 12:9 — “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” His power shines when you admit dependence.

Isaiah 41:10 — “Do not fear, for I am with you... I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” The same hand binds the galaxies and braces your heart.

Walking It Out Today

1. Speak truth aloud: “Jesus, You are holding all things together, including me, right now.”

2. Hand over specifics: List the exact areas you feel are falling apart and deliberately picture Christ’s hands around each one.

3. Replace panic with promise: Any time anxiety surfaces, answer it with Colossians 1:17 or Philippians 4:13.

4. Rest, don’t rush: Build intentional pauses into your day to remember who carries the weight (Psalm 55:22).

5. Serve someone else: Acting on His strength, not yours, demonstrates trust and redirects focus.

Encouragement for the Road Ahead

Nothing you face today stands outside the sphere Christ upholds. The same voice that summoned stars into existence speaks stability over your turmoil. Lean into His continual, literal, sustaining power—every breath proof that He still holds all things, including you, together.
