How can we share the blessings of spiritual vision with others in our community? The Privilege of Seeing Then Jesus turned to the disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.” (Luke 10:23) • Spiritual sight is a tangible blessing granted by the Lord. • It is a gift God reveals, never self-manufactured. • What we behold in Christ is meant to overflow into the lives of others. What Blessed Eyes Experience • Freedom from darkness to light (Acts 26:18). • Hearts enlightened to hope (Ephesians 1:18). • Confidence to “taste and see that the LORD is good” (Psalm 34:8). • Desire to proclaim what has been seen and heard (1 John 1:3). Sharing the Vision in Our Community 1. Personal testimony • Tell how Jesus opened your eyes in ordinary conversation. • Keep the focus on His work, not personal achievement. 2. Opening Scripture together • Invite neighbors to read a Gospel over coffee. • Expect the Spirit to “open the Scriptures” as in Luke 24:32. 3. Visible good works • Let daily integrity confirm the message (Matthew 5:16). • Acts of patience, justice, and kindness point to the King. 4. Practical service • Meet tangible needs—meals, childcare, repairs—echoing Luke 10:9. • Deeds make the invisible kingdom visible. 5. Hospitable spaces • Create welcoming tables and living rooms for honest dialogue. • Fellowship often convinces before formal teaching does. 6. Intercessory prayer • Ask God to enlighten hearts (Ephesians 1:18). • Prayer prepares soil before any seed is sown. 7. Unity with believers • Partner across congregations for community projects (John 17:23). • Visible unity authenticates the message of Christ. 8. Creative communication • Use art, music, and digital platforms to display gospel beauty. • Creativity reaches hearts that sermons alone may not touch. Scripture Connections • Luke 24:31 – Jesus still reveals Himself. • 2 Corinthians 4:6 – God shines light into hearts. • 1 Peter 2:9 – We proclaim His virtues. • Mark 8:18 – Persist; eyes can yet be opened. Living It Out • Keep beholding Christ daily so your vision stays clear. • Celebrate every glimpse of sight others gain. • Trust the Lord who opened your eyes to open many more in your community. |
