Show Christ's grace daily?
How can we reflect Christ's grace in our daily interactions?

Setting the Foundation: Psalm 45:2

“You are the most handsome of men; grace has anointed your lips, since God has blessed you forever.”

Seeing Jesus in the Psalm

Psalm 45 celebrates the royal Bridegroom. Taken literally, it points to an historic king of Israel. Taken prophetically, it reveals the Messiah whose very speech overflows with grace (Luke 4:22).

• Because the Scriptures are fully reliable, we know that whatever characterized His lips should characterize ours (John 1:14).

The Word’s Unchanging Accuracy

• Every command to show grace rests on the absolute truthfulness of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16).

• Obedience is not optional; it is the natural response to the inerrant Word.

Practical Ways to Reflect Christ’s Grace

1. Our Words

 • Colossians 4:6—“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt.”

 • Ephesians 4:29—Speak only what “brings grace to those who listen.”

 • Practice: pause before speaking, ask whether the next sentence mirrors the tone of Jesus’ lips in Psalm 45:2.

2. Our Attitudes

 • Philippians 2:3–4—Consider others above self.

 • Titus 3:2—Be “peaceable and gentle.”

 • Practice: greet people with genuine interest; listen more than you talk.

3. Our Actions

 • 1 John 3:18—Love “in action and truth.”

 • Hebrews 13:16—Do good and share; “with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

 • Practice: small, tangible kindness—pay for someone’s meal, write an encouraging note, offer practical help.

4. Our Conflicts

 • Proverbs 15:1—A gentle answer turns away wrath.

 • Romans 12:18—As far as it depends on you, live at peace.

 • Practice: lower your voice, affirm the person’s worth, seek solutions not victories.

5. Our Service

 • 1 Peter 4:10—Use gifts to serve others “as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”

 • Practice: volunteer where needs are unmet; serve without expecting recognition.

Guarding the Source of Grace

• Abide in Christ daily (John 15:5).

• Immerse your mind in Scripture; the more His words fill you, the more grace overflows.

• Depend on the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23); grace is fruit, not self-manufacture.

A Closing Thought

Psalm 45:2 paints a Savior whose lips drip with grace. When His words govern our hearts, our daily interactions become living portraits of the same grace that has rescued us.
