Exodus 39

1And of the blue, purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, for ministering in the holy place, and for sacred garments for Aaron; as the LORD commanded Moses.

2And he (Bezalel) made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and finely woven linen. 3And they beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in with the blue, the purple, and the scarlet, and the finely woven linen, with skillful work. 4They made shoulder pieces to couple the front and back of the ephod together, by its two edges. 5And the beautifully woven sash was like it - of one piece with the ephod, and made of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and finely woven linen; as the LORD commanded Moses. 6And they mounted onyx stones, mounted in settings of gold, engraved as signets are engraved, with the names of the sons of Israel. 7And they put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, so that the stones would be for a memorial to the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses.

8And they made the breastplate of skillful work, like the work of the ephod; of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and finely woven linen. 9It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span (9 inches) was its length, and a span its breadth, when doubled to form a pouch. 10And they mounted four rows of stones on it: the first row was a sardius, topaz, and carbuncle stone. 11And in the second row: an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond. 12And in the third row: a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst. 13And in the fourth row: a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were all mounted in settings of gold. 14And the twelve stones were engraved with the names of the sons of Israel, like the engravings of a signet, each with its name, according to the twelve tribes. 15And they made chains of braided work of pure gold, upon the ends of the breastplate. 16And they made two settings of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings in the two ends of the breastplate. 17And they fastened the two braided chains of gold in the two rings at the ends of the breastplate. 18And the other two ends of the two braided chains, they fastened in the two settings attached to the shoulder pieces of the ephod in the front. 19And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the other two ends of the breastplate, on the inside edge of the ephod. 20And they made two more gold rings, and attached them on the two sides at the bottom of the shoulder pieces and toward the front of the ephod, just above the beautifully woven sash of the ephod. 21And they tied the rings of the breastplate to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that connected just above the beautifully woven sash of the ephod, so that the breastplate might be held securely to the ephod; as the LORD commanded Moses.

22And they made the robe of the ephod entirely of woven work of blue material. 23And there was an opening in the center of the robe, like the hole in a coat of mail, with a band around the hole, so that it would not tear. 24And they made pomegranates of blue, purple, scarlet, and finely woven linen around the hem of the robe. 25And they made bells of pure gold, and attached the bells between the pomegranates all around on the hem of the robe - 26A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe to be worn to minister in; as the LORD commanded Moses.

27And they made coats (tunics) of finely woven linen work for Aaron, and for his sons, 28And a miter of finely woven linen, and special head coverings of fine linen, and linen breeches of finely woven linen, 29And a sash of finely woven linen, of blue, purple, and scarlet needlework; as the LORD commanded Moses. 30And they made the plate - the sacred medallion of pure gold - for the holy crown, and engraved upon it, like an inscription of a signet, “HOLINESS TO THE LORD.” 31And they fastened to it a lace of blue, to attach it high upon the miter; as the LORD commanded Moses.

32Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation was finished: and the Israelites did everything according to all that the LORD commanded Moses.

33And they brought the tabernacle to Moses - the tent, all its furniture, its clasps, boards, bars, pillars, and its sockets, 34As well as the following items: the covering of rams' skins, dyed red; the covering of badgers' skins; the inner veil to shield 35The Ark of the Covenant; its staves; the mercy seat; 36The table, and all its utensils; the showbread; 37The pure gold lampstand, with its lamps, all to be set in order, and all its vessels; the oil for light; 38The golden altar; the anointing oil; the sweet incense; the hanging for the tabernacle entrance; 39The bronze altar, and its grate of bronze; its staves; all its vessels; the laver and its base; 40The hangings of the court; its pillars, and its sockets; the hanging for the court entrance, its cords, its pegs; and all the articles for the service of the tabernacle, the tent of the congregation; 41The cloths used in ministering in the holy place; and the holy garments for Aaron, the priest, and his sons' garments, worn to minister in the priest's office. 42The Israelites made all these items according to all that the LORD commanded Moses. 43And Moses looked upon all the work they had done; and it was exactly as the LORD had commanded; and Moses blessed them.
