1This is the record of the descendants of Adam:

When God created man, He made him in His Own likeness - 2 God created them - male and female - and He called them mankind; and He blessed them in the day they were created. 3And when Adam was a hundred thirty years old, his first son, who was very much like himself, was born; and he named him Seth. 4And after he had begotten Seth, After that, Adam lived another eight hundred years, having more sons and daughters. 5And so Adam lived a total of nine hundred thirty years before he died. 6And when Seth was a hundred five years old, his son, Enos, was born to him. 7And after the birth of Enos, Seth lived eight hundred seven years, and had sons and daughters: 8And so the lived a total of nine hundred twelve  years; and then he died. 9And Enos, his firstborn, lived ninety years before fathering Cainan. 10And Enos lived eight hundred fifteen years after he fathered Cainan, having more sons and daughters. 11And so all the days of Enos were nine hundred five years; and then he died. 12And Cainan lived seventy years, before Mahalalel, his first son, was born. 13And Cainan lived eight hundred forty years after Mahalalel was born, and had more sons and daughters. 14And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred ten years: and he died. 15And Mahalalel lived sixty-five years before his first son, Jared, was born. 16And Mahalalel lived eight hundred thirty years after the birth of Jared, and had more sons and daughters. 17And so all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety-five years: and he died. 18And Jared lived a hundred sixty-two years before his son, Enoch was born. 19And Jared lived another eight hundred years; and had more sons and daughters. 20And so Jared lived a total of nine hundred sixty-two years before he died. 21And Enoch was sixty-five years old before he had Methuselah. 22And Enoch walked with God three hundred years after his son, Methuselah, was born; and he had more sons and daughters. 23And so all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years. 24And Enoch walked faithfully in fellowship with God, and then, one day, he was no more; because God took him. 25And Methuselah lived a hundred eighty-seven years before the birth of his son, Lamech. 26And then, after he fathered Lamech, Methuselah lived another seven hundred eighty-two years, fathering sons and daughters. 27And so all the days of Methuselah totaled nine hundred sixty-nine years before he died. 28And Lamech lived a hundred eighty-two years before fathering a son. 29And he named his son Noah, and said, “He shall comfort and bring us relief from our painful efforts, working and tilling the ground which the LORD has cursed.” 30And Lamech lived five hundred ninety-five more years, after fathering Noah, and had other sons and daughters. 31And all the days of Lamech totaled seven hundred seventy-seven years: and he died. 32And Noah was five hundred years old before he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
