1And the LORD said to Moses, 2“Speak to Aaron and his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them; ‘This is the thing which the LORD has commanded: 3“Any man of the house of Israel who kills an ox, lamb, or goat, either in or outside of the camp, 4And does not bring it to the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, to make an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people: 5This statute is so that the children of Israel will bring their sacrifices, which they now offer in the open field unto the LORD, to the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, to the priest, and offer them for peace offerings unto the LORD. 6And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the LORD at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, and burn the fat for a sweet savor unto the LORD. 7And they must never offer their sacrifices to demons, with whom they have played the harlot. This shall be a statute forever for them throughout their generations.”’

8And you shall say to them, ‘Any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn among you, that offers a burnt offering or sacrifice, 9And does not bring it to the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, to offer it unto the LORD; that man shall be cut off from among his people.

10‘And any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eats any manner of blood; I will set My face against that soul that eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. 11For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you to make an atonement for your souls upon the altar: for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul. 12That is why I say to the Israelites, “None of you, nor any stranger that sojourns among you, shall eat blood.” 13And any Israelite or strangers (foreigner) sojourning among you, who hunts and catches any animal or fowl that may be eaten; he must first drain out its blood, and cover it with dust. 14For the life of every creature is in its blood: therefore, I said to the Israelites, “You shall eat the blood of no creature; the life of all flesh is its blood: whoever eats it shall be cut off.”

15‘And every soul that eats what has died of itself, or was torn by animals, whether an Israelite, or a sojourner, he shall both wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening; then he shall be clean. 16But if he does not wash them, nor bathe, then he shall bear his iniquity.’”
