A Song of degrees.

1In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and He heard me. 2Save me, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue. 3What reward shall the LORD give you, O lying tongue? Or what shall your punishment be? 4Sharp and flaming arrows shall be your reward.

5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live in the tents of Kedar! 6I have dwelt too long among people who hate peace. 7I am for peace; but when I speak, they want war!
