A Song of degrees.

1Those who trust in the LORD shall be like Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but endures forever. 2As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people now and forever. 3For the ruling rod of the wicked shall not remain upon the land of the righteous, for then the righteous might be tempted to respond with evil actions. 4Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and are upright in heart. 5As for those that resort to crooked ways, the LORD shall banish them with all evildoers; but peace shall be upon Israel.
