On the dedication of the second temple

1Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. 2I will praise the LORD, and sing praises unto my God while I have any being. 3Do not trust in people in power, nor in any mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. 4When they depart, they return to his earth; on that very day their plans perish. 5Blessed is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, who trusts in the LORD, his God; 6Who created heaven, earth, the sea, and all that that is in it; Who keeps His promise forever; 7Who executes justice for the oppressed; Who gives food to the hungry and freedom to the prisoners. 8The LORD opens the eyes of the blind, lifts those who are weighed down; the LORD loves the righteous; 9The LORD is the protector of strangers, widows and orphans, but He frustrates and thwarts the schemes of the wicked. 10The LORD, your God, shall reign forever, O Zion, throughout all generations. Praise you the LORD.
