A Psalm of David

1Ascribe unto the LORD, O you mighty (heavenly beings / angels), ascribe unto the LORD glory and strength. 2Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness. 3The voice of the LORD echoes above the sea. The God of glory thunders; the LORD above many waters. 4The voice of the LORD is powerful and full of majesty. 5The voice of the LORD splits the cedars; yes, the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon. 6He also makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion (Mt. Herman) like a young wild ox (unicorn). 7The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. 8The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. 9The voice of the LORD causes the doe to give birth to calves, strips bare the forests; and in His Temple everything speaks of His glory. 10The LORD sits enthroned above the flood; yes, the LORD will sit as King forever. 11The LORD gives strength to His people; the LORD blesses His people with peace.
