The Warning Against Intemperance
Proverbs 23:29-35
Who has woe? who has sorrow? who has contentions? who has babbling? who has wounds without cause? who has redness of eyes?…

We should mind this warning against the serpent of intemperance, because —

I. ITS STING IS A COSTLY STING.

II. ITS STING IS AN INJURIOUS STING.

III. ITS STING IS A DISGRACEFUL STING.

(R. Newton, D.D.)
