II. THE SPIRIT WHICH LEADS A MAN TO RELY ON HIS UNASSISTED EFFORTS AS RENDERING HIM MEET TO RECEIVE GRACE IS SIN, because it involves a denial of —

1. Christ's atonement.

2. Human infirmity.

3. The need of the Holy Spirit's help.Lessons:

1. For reproof.

2. Correction.

3. Instruction in righteousness.
