Nothing people accomplish escapes His sight, yet no earthly achievement can supply the lasting purpose found only in Him. Sin has subjected the world to frustration, and even great wisdom cannot unravel every mystery of providence or remove the certainty of death. Job likewise recognized that true wisdom cannot be discovered by human effort alone but belongs to God (Job 28:12–28).
