1. Heart and Mind: The Bible teaches that purity begins in the heart. Proverbs 4:23 states, "Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life." Jesus further emphasizes this in Matthew 5:8 , "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." Romans 7:21-23 describes this struggle: "So this is the principle I have discovered: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. The Bible assures believers that those who pursue purity will be blessed. Psalm 24:3-4 declares, "Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear deceitfully."
