Definition and Nature:
Knowledge from the Most High refers to the divine wisdom and understanding imparted by God to humanity. It encompasses both the revelation of God's character and will, as well as the discernment necessary to live a life pleasing to Him. This knowledge is not merely intellectual but is deeply spiritual, rooted in a relationship with God and guided by the Holy Spirit.

Biblical Foundation:
The Bible consistently emphasizes the importance of seeking knowledge from God. Proverbs 2:6 states, "For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding." This verse highlights that true knowledge originates from God and is a gift bestowed upon those who earnestly seek Him.

The Fear of the Lord:
A foundational aspect of acquiring knowledge from the Most High is the fear of the Lord. Proverbs 1:7 declares, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." The fear of the Lord is a reverential awe and respect for God, recognizing His holiness and authority. It is the starting point for gaining true knowledge, as it aligns the heart and mind with God's truth.

Role of the Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in imparting knowledge from the Most High. Jesus promised His disciples that the Spirit would guide them into all truth (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit illuminates the Scriptures, helping believers understand and apply God's Word to their lives. 1 Corinthians 2:10-12 explains, "But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God... that we may understand what God has freely given us."

Knowledge and Wisdom:
While knowledge involves the accumulation of facts and truths, wisdom is the application of that knowledge in daily life. James 1:5 encourages believers to seek wisdom from God: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him." Knowledge from the Most High is not static; it is dynamic and transformative, leading to wise living.

The Word of God:
The Bible is the primary source of knowledge from the Most High. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 affirms, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work." Through Scripture, God reveals His nature, His purposes, and His instructions for righteous living.

The Pursuit of Knowledge:
Believers are encouraged to diligently pursue knowledge from the Most High. Proverbs 4:7 advises, "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it costs all you have, get understanding." This pursuit requires humility, prayer, and a willingness to be taught by God. It involves a lifelong commitment to growing in the knowledge of God and His ways.

Knowledge and Love:
Knowledge from the Most High is intrinsically linked to love. 1 Corinthians 8:1 warns, "Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up." True knowledge leads to a deeper love for God and others, fostering unity and edification within the body of Christ. It is not meant to create arrogance but to cultivate a heart of service and compassion.

Eternal Perspective:
Finally, knowledge from the Most High has an eternal dimension. It prepares believers for their ultimate destiny with God. In 1 Corinthians 13:12, Paul writes, "For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." This verse points to the future fulfillment of knowledge when believers will stand in the presence of God and understand fully.
