1These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron. 2And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the command of the LORD. And these are their journeys according to their starting places. 3And they set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the next day after the Passover day, the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians, 4While the Egyptians were still burying all their firstborn whom the LORD had stricken among them. And you shall give the more of an inheritance to the tribe of many; to the tribe of few you shall give the less of an inheritance. Wherever the lot falls out to him, according to the tribes of your fathers, you shall inherit. 55But if you will not drive out the people of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land in which you live. 56And it shall be, as I thought to do to them, so I shall do to you.
