1Consequently, there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit; 2Because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has delivered me from the law of sin and death. 3For what was impossible for the law to do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, having sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh; 4In order that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit: 5For those who walk according to the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but those who walk according to the Spirit mind the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace, 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God; neither indeed can it be. 8But those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9However, you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God is indeed dwelling within you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. 10But if Christ be within you, the body is indeed dead because of sin; however, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11Now if the Spirit of Him Who raised Jesus from the dead is dwelling within you, He Who raised Christ from the dead will also quicken your mortal bodies because of His Spirit that dwells within you.

12So then, brethren, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh; 13Because if you are living according to the flesh, you shall die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you shall live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. 15Now you have not received a spirit of bondage again unto fear, but you have received the Spirit of sonship, whereby we call out, "Abba, Father." 16The Spirit itself bears witness conjointly with our own spirit, testifying that we are the children of God. 17Now if we are children, we are also heirs--truly, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ--if indeed we suffer together with Him, so that we may also be glorified together with Him.

18For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us. 19For the earnest expectation of the creation itself is awaiting the manifestation of the sons of God; 20Because the creation was subjected to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him who subjected it in hope, 21In order that the creation itself might be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22For we know that all the creation is groaning together and travailing together until now. 23And not only that, but even we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, also groan within ourselves, awaiting the sonship--the redemption of our bodies. 24For by hope we were saved; but hope that is seen is not hope; for why would anyone still be hoping for what he sees? 25But if we hope for what we do not see, we ourselves wait for it with patience.

26Now in the same way also, the Spirit is conjointly helping our weaknesses because we do not fully understand what we should pray for, according as it is necessary, but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be expressed by us. 27And the One Who searches the hearts comprehends what the strivings of the Spirit are because it makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose 29Because those whom He did foreknow, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His own Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Now whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He Who did not spare even His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how shall He not also grant us all things together with Him? 33Who shall bring an accusation against the elect of God? God is the One Who justifies. 34Who is the one that condemns? It is Christ Who died, but rather, Who is raised again, Who is even now at the right hand of God, and Who is also making intercession for us.

35What shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

36Accordingly, it is written, "For Your sake we are killed all the day long; we are reckoned as sheep for the slaughter."

37But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us. 38For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
