Sing to the LORD a New Song
(Psalm 98:1–9; Isaiah 42:10–17)

Prayse ye the Lorde, syng vnto God a newe song: he ought to be praysed in the congregation of saintes.

Israel shoulde reioyce in his maker: the children of Sion shoulde be ioyfull in their kyng.

They shoulde prayse his name in a daunce: they shoulde sing psalmes vnto hym vpon a tabret and a harpe.

For God hath a pleasure in his people: he wyll beautifie the afflicted with saluation.

The saintes shalbe ioyful with glory: they shal expresse a ioyfull noyse in their beddes.

The hygh promotions of the Lorde shalbe in their mouth: and a two edged sworde in their handes.

That they may take auengement of the heathen: and correction of the nations.

That they may bynde their kynges in chaynes: and their nobles with iron fetters.

That they may execute the iudgement prescribed: this honour shalbe to all his saintes. Prayse ye the Lorde.
