Hosea Redeems His Wife 1And YHWH said to me: “Again go, love a woman loved by by another and is committing adultery, according to the love of YHWH for the sons of Israel, and they are turning to other gods and are loving the cakes of raisins!” 2And I bought her for myself with fifteen shekels of silver† and a homer of barley and a lethech of barley.† 3And I said to her: “Many days you will dwell with me; you will not act like a prostitute, and you will not be unto a man; I also toward you.” 4For many days the sons of Israel will dwell without king or prince, and without sacrifice or sacred pillar, and without ephod or teraphim. 5Afterward the sons of Israel will return, and they will seek YHWH their God and David their king, and they will come trembling to YHWH and to His goodness in the latter days.
