2 Kings 14:3
Good News Translation
He did what was pleasing to the LORD, but he was not like his ancestor King David; instead, he did what his father Joash had done.

New Revised Standard Version
He did what was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like his ancestor David; in all things he did as his father Joash had done.

Contemporary English Version
Amaziah followed the example of his father Joash by obeying the LORD and doing right. But he was not as faithful as his ancestor David.
