As for me, however, I will boast only about the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ; for by means of his cross the world is dead to me, and I am dead to the world.

…13For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law: but they will have you to be circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. 14But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world. 15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision: but a new creature.…
But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, for I am the Lord that exercise mercy, and judgment, and justice in the earth: for these things please me, saith the Lord.
He will come and will destroy these husbandmen and will give the vineyard to others. Which they hearing, said to him: God forbid.
God forbid! For we that are dead to sin, how shall we live any longer therein?
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin may be destroyed, to the end that we may serve sin no longer.
1 Corinthians 2:2
For I judged not myself to know anything among you, but Jesus Christ: and him crucified.
But if, while we seek to be justified in Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ then the minister of sin? God forbid!
For I, through the law, am dead to the law, that I may live to God; with Christ I am nailed to the cross.
And I live, now not I: but Christ liveth in me. And that I live now in the flesh: I live in the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and delivered himself for me.
Was the law then against the promises of God: God forbid! For if there had been a law given which could give life, verily justice should have been by the law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified their flesh, with the vices and concupiscences.
For we are the circumcision, who in spirit serve God and glory in Christ Jesus, not having confidence in the flesh.
For many walk, of whom I have told you often (and now tell you weeping) that they are enemies of the cross of Christ:
If then you be dead with Christ from the elements of this world, why do you yet decree as though living in the world?
