Isaiah 43
Peshitta Holy Bible Translated Par ▾
Now, thus says LORD JEHOVAH who created Yaqob, and he formed you, Israel: You shall not fear, because I have redeemed you and I called you by your name, for you are mine

If you cross the Sea, I am with you, and the rivers shall not overwhelm you, and if you will walk on fire, you will not be scorched and the flame will not burn you

Because I AM LORD JEHOVAH your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt in exchange for you, and Kush and Sheba for your face

You are one who is precious in my eyes! You are glorious and I have loved you! I have given men in exchange for you, and peoples in exchange for your life!

You shall not fear, because I am with you. I shall bring your seed from the East, and from the West I shall gather you

I shall say to the North, "Give to me”, and to the south, "You shall not withhold.” Bring my sons from far away and my daughters from the ends of the Earth

Everyone who calls on my name for my honor. I have created him and I have formed him and I have made him

Bring out the blind people who have eyes and do not see, and have ears and are deaf

All the nations shall be gathered as one and the peoples shall be gathered. Who is among you who will show this, and we will hear the former things? Let them bring their witnesses and they will be justified, also we will hear and we will speak in truth

You are my witnesses, says LORD JEHOVAH, and my Servants whom I have chosen, and you shall know, and you shall believe in me, and you shall understand that I am he, and before me there has not been a God created, and none shall be after me

I AM LORD JEHOVAH and there is none again outside of me

I have shown and I have saved and I have made heard and there is not among you a foreigner, and you are my witnesses, says LORD JEHOVAH, and I am God

Also, from the first day I AM THE LIVING GOD. There is none who is saved from my hands, and who is turning back anything that I do?

Thus says LORD JEHOVAH, your Savior, The Holy One of Israel: “For your sake I have sent to Babel, and I have brought all the fugitives and the Chaldeans who boast in ships

I AM LORD JEHOVAH your Holy One, for I, your King, have created Israel

Thus says LORD JEHOVAH who gives a path in the sea and paths in many waters

Who brings out chariots and horses and a strong army, and together they shall lie down and they shall not arise, and they shall be extinguished as a lamp that flickers

You shall not call to mind former things and you shall not perceive from the beginning

Behold, I make a new thing, and now it will sprout and you shall know it, and I shall make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert

The animals of the wilderness shall glorify me, the jackals and the daughters of ostriches, because I have given waters in the wilderness and rivers in the deserts, that my choice people would drink

This people whom I have chosen for myself shall drink

It was not that you called me, Yaqob, for I have called you, oh Israel

You have not brought me lambs that you have burnt, neither have you honored me with your offerings. I have not oppressed you with offerings and I have not wearied you with incense

You have not bought cane of sweet incense with silver for me, and with the fat of your sacrifices you have not intoxicated me, but you have oppressed me with your sins, and with your evil you have wearied me

I AM THE LIVING GOD, I who blot out your evil for my sake, and I shall not remember your sins again

Be reminded of me; we shall be judged as one. I have said that you shall be righteous

Your first father sinned; your Rulers have done evil to me.

Your Princes have defiled Holiness. I have given Yaqob to destruction and Israel to reproach
