| 1Of David. I give You thanks with all my heart; before the gods I sing Your praises. | 1LORD, I thank you with all of my heart; because you heard the words that I spoke, I will sing your praise before the heavenly beings. |
| 2I bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your loving devotion and Your faithfulness; You have exalted Your name and Your word above all else. | 2I will bow down in worship toward your holy Temple and give thanks to your name for your gracious love and truth, for you have done great things to carry out your word consistent with your name. |
| 3On the day I called, You answered me; You emboldened me and strengthened my soul. | 3When I called out, you answered me; you strengthened me. |
| 4All the kings of the earth will give You thanks, O LORD, when they hear the words of Your mouth. | 4LORD, all the kings of the earth will give you thanks, for they have heard what you have spoken. |
| 5They will sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great. | 5They will sing about the ways of the LORD, for great is the glory of the LORD! |
| 6Though the LORD is on high, He attends to the lowly; but the proud He knows from afar. | 6Though the LORD is highly exalted, yet he pays attention to those who are lowly regarded, but he is aware of the arrogant from afar. |
| 7If I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve me from the anger of my foes; You extend Your hand, and Your right hand saves me. | 7Though I walk straight into trouble, you preserve my life, stretching out your hand to fight the vehemence of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me. |
| 8The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me. O LORD, Your loving devotion endures forever—do not abandon the works of Your hands. | 8The LORD will complete what his purpose is for me. LORD, your gracious love is eternal; do not abandon your personal work in me. |
