He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress; I will never be shaken. | 2He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken. |
How long will you threaten a man? Will all of you throw him down like a leaning wall or a tottering fence? | 3How long will you assail a man, That you may murder him, all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence? |
They fully intend to cast him down from his lofty perch; they delight in lies; with their mouths they bless, but inwardly they curse. Selah | 4They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position; They delight in falsehood; They bless with their mouth, But inwardly they curse. Selah. |
Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him. | 5My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him. |
He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not be shaken. | 6He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken. |
My salvation and my honor rest on God, my strong rock; my refuge is in God. | 7On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. |

Place no trust in extortion, or false hope in stolen goods. If your riches increase, do not set your heart upon them. | 10Do not trust in oppression And do not vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them. |
God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: that power belongs to God, | 11Once God has spoken; Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God; |
and loving devotion to You, O Lord. For You will repay each man according to his deeds. | 12And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord, For You recompense a man according to his work. |
