| 1I will sing of faithful love and justice; I will sing praise to you, LORD. | 1A psalm of David. I will sing about loyalty and justice! To you, O LORD, I will sing praises! |
| 2I will pay attention to the way of integrity. When will you come to me? I will live with a heart of integrity in my house. | 2I will walk in the way of integrity. When will you come to me? I will conduct my business with integrity in the midst of my palace. |
| 3I will not let anything worthless guide me. I hate the practice of transgression; it will not cling to me. | 3I will not even consider doing what is dishonest. I hate doing evil; I will have no part of it. |
| 4A devious heart will be far from me; I will not be involved with evil. | 4I will have nothing to do with a perverse person; I will not permit evil. |
| 5I will destroy anyone who secretly slanders his neighbor; I cannot tolerate anyone with haughty eyes or an arrogant heart. | 5I will destroy anyone who slanders his neighbor in secret. I will not tolerate anyone who has a cocky demeanor and an arrogant attitude. |
| 6My eyes favor the faithful of the land so that they may sit down with me. The one who follows the way of integrity may serve me. | 6I will favor the honest people of the land, and allow them to live with me. Those who walk in the way of integrity will attend me. |
| 7No one who acts deceitfully will live in my palace; the one who tells lies will not be retained here to guide me. | 7Deceitful people will not live in my palace. Liars will not be welcome in my presence. |
| 8Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, wiping out all evildoers from the LORD's city. | 8Each morning I will destroy all the wicked people in the land, and remove all evildoers from the city of the LORD. |
