| 2Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind. | 2Examine me, O LORD, and test me! Evaluate my inner thoughts and motives! |
| 3For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness. | 3For I am ever aware of your faithfulness, and your loyalty continually motivates me. |
| 4I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites. | 4I do not associate with deceitful men, or consort with those who are dishonest. |

| 10in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes. | 10who are always ready to do wrong or offer a bribe. |
| 11But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me. | 11But I have integrity! Rescue me and have mercy on me! |
