| 1A Davidic psalm. I will sing of faithful love and justice; I will sing praise to You, LORD. | 1I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will make music. |
| 2I will pay attention to the way of integrity. When will You come to me? I will live with a heart of integrity in my house. | 2I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; |
| 3I will not set anything worthless before my eyes. I hate the practice of transgression; it will not cling to me. | 3I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. |
| 4A devious heart will be far from me; I will not be involved with evil. | 4A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil. |
| 5I will destroy anyone who secretly slanders his neighbor; I cannot tolerate anyone with haughty eyes or an arrogant heart. | 5Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure. |
| 6My eyes favor the faithful of the land so that they may sit down with me. The one who follows the way of integrity may serve me. | 6I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me. |
| 7No one who acts deceitfully will live in my palace; no one who tells lies will remain in my presence. | 7No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes. |
| 8Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, eliminating all evildoers from the LORD's city. | 8Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the LORD. |
