Brothers, if someone is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so you also won't be tempted.1Brothers and sisters, if a person is discovered in some sin, you who are spiritual restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness. Pay close attention to yourselves, so that you are not tempted too.
Carry one another's burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.2Carry one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
For if anyone considers himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 3For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
But each person should examine his own work, and then he will have a reason for boasting in himself alone, and not in respect to someone else. 4Let each one examine his own work. Then he can take pride in himself and not compare himself with someone else.
For each person will have to carry his own load. 5For each one will carry his own load.
The one who is taught the message must share all his good things with the teacher. 6Now the one who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with the one who teaches it.
Don't be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap, 7Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool. For a person will reap what he sows,
because the one who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. 8because the person who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don't give up. 9So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith. 10So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith.
Look at what large letters I use as I write to you in my own handwriting. 11See what big letters I make as I write to you with my own hand!
Those who want to make a good impression in the flesh are the ones who would compel you to be circumcised--but only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. 12Those who want to make a good showing in external matters are trying to force you to be circumcised. They do so only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.
For even the circumcised don't keep the law themselves; however, they want you to be circumcised in order to boast about your flesh. 13For those who are circumcised do not obey the law themselves, but they want you to be circumcised so that they can boast about your flesh.
But as for me, I will never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The world has been crucified to me through the cross, and I to the world. 14But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
For both circumcision and uncircumcision mean nothing; what matters instead is a new creation.15For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that matters is a new creation!
May peace come to all those who follow this standard, and mercy to the Israel of God! 16And all who will behave in accordance with this rule, peace and mercy be on them, and on the Israel of God.
From now on, let no one cause me trouble, because I bear on my body scars for the cause of Jesus.17From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear the marks of Jesus on my body.
Brothers, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. 18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.
