3Anyone who guards his words protects his life; anyone who talks too much is ruined.3He who guards his mouth protects his life, but the one who opens his lips invites his own ruin.
4The lazy person craves, yet receives nothing, but the desires of the diligent are satisfied.4The slacker craves yet has nothing, but the soul of the diligent is fully satisfied.
5A righteous person hates deceit, but the wicked person is shameful and disgraceful.5The righteous hate falsehood, but the wicked bring shame and disgrace.
