| 3The LORD is great, and to be praised highly, though his greatness is indescribable. | 3Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; His greatness is unsearchable. |
| 4One generation will acclaim your works to another and will describe your mighty actions. | 4One generation will commend Your works to the next, and will proclaim Your mighty acts— |
| 5I will speak about the glorious splendor of your majesty as well as your awesome actions. | 5the glorious splendor of Your majesty. And I will meditate on Your wondrous works. |
| 6People will speak about the might of your great deeds, and I will announce your greatness. | 6They will proclaim the power of Your awesome deeds, and I will declare Your greatness. |
| 7They will extol the fame of your abundant goodness, and will sing out loud about your righteousness. | 7They will extol the fame of Your abundant goodness and sing joyfully of Your righteousness. |
| 8Gracious and merciful is the LORD, slow to become angry, and overflowing with gracious love. | 8The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in loving devotion. |
| 9The LORD is good to everyone and his mercies extend to everything he does. | 9The LORD is good to all; His compassion rests on all He has made. |
| 10LORD, everything you have done will praise you, and your holy ones will bless you. | 10All You have made will give You thanks, O LORD, and Your saints will bless You. |
| 11They will speak about the glory of your kingdom, and they will talk about your might, | 11They will tell of the glory of Your kingdom and speak of Your might, |
| 12in order to make known your mighty acts to mankind as well as the majestic splendor of your kingdom. | 12to make known to men Your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of Your kingdom. |
| 13Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your authority endures from one generation to another. [13b] God is faithful about everything he says and merciful in everything he does. | 13Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful in all His words and kind in all His actions. |
| 14The LORD supports everyone who falls and raises up those who are bowed down. | 14The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. |
| 15Everyone's eyes are on you, as you give them their food in due time. | 15The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in season. |
| 16You open your hand and keep on satisfying the desire of every living thing. | 16You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. |
| 17The LORD is righteous in all of his ways and graciously loving in all of his activities. | 17The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds. |
| 18The LORD remains near to all who call out to him, to everyone who calls out to him sincerely. | 18The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth. |
| 19He fulfills the desire of those who fear him, hearing their cry and saving them. | 19He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them. |
| 20The LORD preserves everyone who loves him, but he will destroy all of the wicked. | 20The LORD preserves all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. |
| 21My mouth will praise the LORD, and all creatures will bless his holy name forever and ever. | 21My mouth will declare the praise of the LORD; let every creature bless His holy name forever and ever. |
