| 2With the lyre, give thanks to the LORD; with the ten stringed harp, play music to him; | 2Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. |
| 3with a new song, sing to him; with shouts of joy, play skillfully. | 3Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. |
| 4For the word of the LORD is upright; and all his works are done in faithfulness. | 4For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. |
| 5He loves righteousness and justice; the world is filled with the gracious love of the LORD. | 5He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. |

| 12How blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he has chosen as his own inheritance. | 12Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. |
| 13When the LORD looks down from heaven, he observes every human being. | 13The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. |
| 14From his dwelling place, he looks down on all the inhabitants of the earth. | 14From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. |
| 15He formed the hearts of them all; he understands everything they do. | 15He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. |
| 16A king is not saved by a large army; a mighty soldier is not delivered by his great strength. | 16There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. |
| 17It is vain to trust in a horse for deliverance, even with its great strength, it cannot deliver. | 17An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. |
| 18Indeed, the LORD watches those who fear him; those who trust in his gracious love | 18Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; |
| 19to deliver them from death; to keep them alive in times of famine. | 19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. |
| 20We wait on the LORD; he is our help and our shield. | 20Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. |
| 21Indeed, our heart will rejoice in him, because we have placed our trust in his holy name. | 21For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. |
| 22LORD, may your gracious love be upon us, even as we hope in you. | 22Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. |
