And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits. | 1“You are to build an altar of acacia wood. The altar must be square, five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high. |
And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass. | 2Make a horn on each of its four corners, so that the horns are of one piece, and overlay it with bronze. |
And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass. | 3Make all its utensils of bronze—its pots for removing ashes, its shovels, its sprinkling bowls, its meat forks, and its firepans. |
And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen rings in the four corners thereof. | 4Construct for it a grate of bronze mesh, and make a bronze ring at each of the four corners of the mesh. |
And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar. | 5Set the grate beneath the ledge of the altar, so that the mesh comes halfway up the altar. |
And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass. | 6Additionally, make poles of acacia wood for the altar and overlay them with bronze. |
And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it. | 7The poles are to be inserted into the rings so that the poles are on two sides of the altar when it is carried. |
Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make it. | 8Construct the altar with boards so that it is hollow. It is to be made just as you were shown on the mountain. |

And on the other side shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three. | 15and the curtains on the other side fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases. |
And for the gate of the court shall be an hanging of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: and their pillars shall be four, and their sockets four. | 16The gate of the courtyard shall be twenty cubits long, with a curtain embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen. It shall have four posts and four bases. |

And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always. | 20And you are to command the Israelites to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually. |
In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel. | 21In the Tent of Meeting, outside the veil that is in front of the Testimony, Aaron and his sons are to tend the lamps before the LORD from evening until morning. This is to be a permanent statute for the Israelites for the generations to come. |
