A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. | 1Davidic. I will give You thanks with all my heart; I will sing Your praise before the heavenly beings. |
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. | 2I will bow down toward Your holy temple and give thanks to Your name for Your constant love and truth. You have exalted Your name and Your promise above everything else. |
In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. | 3On the day I called, You answered me; You increased strength within me. |
All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth. | 4All the kings on earth will give You thanks, LORD, when they hear what You have promised. |
Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD. | 5They will sing of the LORD's ways, for the LORD's glory is great. |
Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. | 6Though the LORD is exalted, He takes note of the humble; but He knows the haughty from a distance. |
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. | 7If I walk into the thick of danger, You will preserve my life from the anger of my enemies. You will extend Your hand; Your right hand will save me. |
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. | 8The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me. LORD, Your love is eternal; do not abandon the work of Your hands. |
