 | 1Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. | 1Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from heaven; praise him in the highest places. |
| 2Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. | 2Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his armies! |
| 3Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. | 3Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars. |
| 4Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. | 4Praise him, you heaven of heavens, and you waters above the heavens. |
| 5Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. | 5Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he himself gave the command that they be created. |
| 6He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass. | 6He set them in place to last forever and ever; he gave the command and will not rescind it. |
| 7Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: | 7Praise the LORD, you from the earth, you creatures of the sea and all you depths, |
| 8Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word: | 8fire, hail, snow, fog, and wind storm that carry out his command, |
| 9Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: | 9mountains and every hill, fruit trees and cedars, |
| 10Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl: | 10living creatures and livestock, insects and flying birds, |
| 11Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: | 11earthly kings and all peoples, nobles and all court officials of the earth, |
| 12Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: | 12young men and young women alike, along with older people and children. |
| 13Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. | 13Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is lifted up; his majesty transcends earth and heaven. |
| 14He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD. | 14He has raised up a source of strength for his people, an object of praise for all of his holy ones, that is, for the people of Israel who are near him. Hallelujah! |
