A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. | 1A Psalm of David. I will sing of lovingkindness and justice, To You, O LORD, I will sing praises. |
I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. | 2I will give heed to the blameless way. When will You come to me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart. |
I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. | 3I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me. |
A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. | 4A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil. |
Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. | 5Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; No one who has a haughty look and an arrogant heart will I endure. |
Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. | 6My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; He who walks in a blameless way is the one who will minister to me. |
He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. | 7He who practices deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who speaks falsehood shall not maintain his position before me. |
I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD. | 8Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, So as to cut off from the city of the LORD all those who do iniquity. |
