| 1Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely. | 1Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! |
| 2The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel. | 2The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. |
| 3He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. | 3He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. |

| 15He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly. | 15He sends his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly. |
| 16He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes. | 16He spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes. |
| 17He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold? | 17He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can withstand his icy blast? |
| 18He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow. | 18He sends his word and melts them; he stirs up his breezes, and the waters flow. |
| 19He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. | 19He has revealed his word to Jacob, his laws and decrees to Israel. |
| 20He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD. | 20He has done this for no other nation; they do not know his laws. Praise the LORD. |
