NASB Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995Berean Study Bible
Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones; Praise is becoming to the upright.1Rejoice in the LORD, O righteous ones; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him.
Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre; Sing praises to Him with a harp of ten strings.2Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him with ten strings.
Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.3Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy.
For the word of the LORD is upright, And all His work is done in faithfulness.4For the word of the LORD is upright, and all His work is trustworthy.
He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD.5The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His loving devotion.
By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.6By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and all the stars by the breath of His mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deeps in storehouses.7He piles up the waters of the sea; He puts the depths into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.8Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere Him.
For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.9For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm.
The LORD nullifies the counsel of the nations; He frustrates the plans of the peoples.10The LORD frustrates the plans of the nations; He thwarts the devices of the peoples.
The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation.11The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the purposes of His heart to all generations.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.12Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His inheritance!
The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men;13The LORD looks down from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.
From His dwelling place He looks out On all the inhabitants of the earth,14From His dwelling place He gazes on all who inhabit the earth.
He who fashions the hearts of them all, He who understands all their works.15He shapes the hearts of each; He considers all their works.
The king is not saved by a mighty army; A warrior is not delivered by great strength.16No king is saved by his vast army; no warrior is delivered by his great strength.
A horse is a false hope for victory; Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength.17A horse is a vain hope for salvation; even its great strength cannot save.
Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope for His lovingkindness,18Surely the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His loving devotion
To deliver their soul from death And to keep them alive in famine.19to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.20Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
For our heart rejoices in Him, Because we trust in His holy name.21For our hearts rejoice in Him, since we trust in His holy name.
Let Your lovingkindness, O LORD, be upon us, According as we have hoped in You.22May Your loving devotion rest on us, O LORD, as we put our hope in You.
