| 1For the choir director. A Psalm of David. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high! | 1To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; |
| 2May He send you help from the sanctuary And support you from Zion! | 2Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; |
| 3May He remember all your meal offerings And find your burnt offering acceptable! Selah. | 3Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. |
| 4May He grant you your heart's desire And fulfill all your counsel! | 4Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel. |
| 5We will sing for joy over your victory, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions. | 5We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions. |
| 6Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand. | 6Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. |
| 7Some boast in chariots and some in horses, But we will boast in the name of the LORD, our God. | 7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. |
