Psalm 28
NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
1A Psalm of David. To You, O LORD, I call; My rock, do not be deaf to me, For if You are silent to me, I will become like those who go down to the pit.1Of David. To you, LORD, I call; you are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit.
2Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to You for help, When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.2Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.
3Do not drag me away with the wicked And with those who work iniquity, Who speak peace with their neighbors, While evil is in their hearts.3Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts.
4Requite them according to their work and according to the evil of their practices; Requite them according to the deeds of their hands; Repay them their recompense.4Repay them for their deeds and for their evil work; repay them for what their hands have done and bring back on them what they deserve.
5Because they do not regard the works of the LORD Nor the deeds of His hands, He will tear them down and not build them up.5Because they have no regard for the deeds of the LORD and what his hands have done, he will tear them down and never build them up again.
6Blessed be the LORD, Because He has heard the voice of my supplication.6Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy.
7The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.7The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
8The LORD is their strength, And He is a saving defense to His anointed.8The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
9Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; Be their shepherd also, and carry them forever.9Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever.
