Psalm 62
NASB Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995New International Version
For the choir director; according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation.1For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.2Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
How long will you assail a man, That you may murder him, all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?3How long will you assault me? Would all of you throw me down-- this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position; They delight in falsehood; They bless with their mouth, But inwardly they curse. Selah.4Surely they intend to topple me from my lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse.
My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.5Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.
He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.6Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.7My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.8Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
Men of low degree are only vanity and men of rank are a lie; In the balances they go up; They are together lighter than breath.9Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.
Do not trust in oppression And do not vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.10Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.
Once God has spoken; Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God;11One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: "Power belongs to you, God,
And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord, For You recompense a man according to his work.12and with you, Lord, is unfailing love"; and, "You reward everyone according to what they have done."
