Psalm 62
NIV Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionEnglish Standard Version
For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.1For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.2He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
How long will you assault me? Would all of you throw me down-- this leaning wall, this tottering fence?3How long will all of you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence?
Surely they intend to topple me from my lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse.4They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah
Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.5For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.6He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.7On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.8Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah
Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.9Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.
Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.10Put no trust in extortion; set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them.
One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: "Power belongs to you, God,11Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God,
and with you, Lord, is unfailing love"; and, "You reward everyone according to what they have done."12and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.
