Psalm 62
NIV Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionNew American Standard Bible 1995
For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.1For the choir director; according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.2He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.
How long will you assault me? Would all of you throw me down-- this leaning wall, this tottering fence?3How long will you assail a man, That you may murder him, all of you, Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
Surely they intend to topple me from my lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse.4They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position; They delight in falsehood; They bless with their mouth, But inwardly they curse. Selah.
Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.5My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.6He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.7On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.8Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.9Men of low degree are only vanity and men of rank are a lie; In the balances they go up; They are together lighter than breath.
Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.10Do not trust in oppression And do not vainly hope in robbery; If riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.
One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: "Power belongs to you, God,11Once God has spoken; Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God;
and with you, Lord, is unfailing love"; and, "You reward everyone according to what they have done."12And lovingkindness is Yours, O Lord, For You recompense a man according to his work.
