New King James Version | Holman Christian Standard Bible |
A Psalm of David. LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? | 1A Davidic psalm. LORD, who can dwell in Your tent? Who can live on Your holy mountain? |
He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; | 2The one who lives honestly, practices righteousness, and acknowledges the truth in his heart-- |
He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; | 3who does not slander with his tongue, who does not harm his friend or discredit his neighbor, |
In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the LORD; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; | 4who despises the one rejected by the LORD but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his word whatever the cost, |
He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved. | 5who does not lend his money at interest or take a bribe against the innocent-- the one who does these things will never be moved. |
