New Living Translation | King James Bible |
1LORD, my heart is not proud; my eyes are not haughty. I don’t concern myself with matters too great or too awesome for me to grasp. | 1A Song of degrees of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. |
2Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself, like a weaned child who no longer cries for its mother’s milk. Yes, like a weaned child is my soul within me. | 2Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child. |
3O Israel, put your hope in the LORD— now and always. | 3Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever. |
